If we take the upper figure, that is a very high rate of failure, by any standards. This is why the treatment of ADHD in children is so controversial right now.

ADHD Sometimes I wonder if many doctors really understand what is going on inside an ADHD child's brain. The reality is that as he cannot process all the information coming at him, there are a few problems. That is basically what attention deficit disorder in children is! Prescribing pills may actually help to relieve some of the symptoms but that is as far as they can go. Some doctors and many parents are convinced that this is the only way to go and anything for a quiet life!

ADHD An interesting fact has come to light recently in regards to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This is that fathers are not so involved in actively parenting their children. This can lead to many problems, not least the good cop and bad cop parenting scenario. Each parent may have different parenting styles and the child is quick to spot this and manipulate it to his advantage. He may have ADHD but he never misses a trick!
