Sunblock works by acting as a shield and deflecting sun's harmful rays before it gets into the inner layers of our skin. Think of a small mirrors all over your body that bounce off the light coming from the sun. The reason for this action is its ingredients which is zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. When applied, sunblock appeal stark white on skin, which might turn you off.

On the other hand, sunscreen may not be able to deflect the Ultra Violet Rays but it makes them down before it damage our skin. Sunscreen works by absorbing radiation from the sun and turning it down into harmless heat. The first sunscreens were made of Pava Amino Benzonic Acid, but most of the people are quite sensitive with this kind of ingredients. As time goes, manufacturers have come up with PABA- free formulations that gives the same effect or protection.

Don't be confused when you hear about Physical and Chemical sun protection, these are just other way of describing how sunblock and sunscreen works.
